June 15
4:30 PM
Join us at Distillery Labs for a provocative discussion of all things trade - tariffs, targeted industries, and the added challenges of fuel costs that all affect how Central Illinois farmers and manufacturers trade in the global marketplace.
Based on the title of his book, Fred P. Hochberg will address the current state of trade, tariffs, and the prospects for improving economic prospects, especially for Central Illinois. He served as the chairman and president of the Export-Import Bank of the United States under President Obama from 2009 to 2017, becoming the longest-serving chairman in the agency’s history. He also has a storied career as a successful businessman and academic.
This event is co-sponsored by the Greater Peoria Economic Development Council and the East Peoria Chamber of Commerce. Heavy hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar will be available.
Tickets must be purchased by June 8.
