Ambassador Charles Ray, former US Ambassador to Cambodia, Zimbabwe, DCM to Sierra Leone, and Deputy Secretary of Defense, will present the findings from an extensive review of how the US is represented around the world. Dinner for this event will be held in Ballroom A at 5:30 pm, and the program will follow at 7 pm in the Marty Theater, Bradley University Student Center.

Blueprint for a More Modern Diplomatic Service

For anyone who ever wondered about life as a diplomatic representative of the United States to the world. Ambassador Charlie Ray, Former US Ambassador to Cambodia, Zimbabwe, and Deputy Secretary of Defense will join us to give us the latest insight as to what it is like to have a career in diplomacy. He has also been working with other retired diplomats to evaluate their service and how to both improve the efforts of our diplomats and ensure that the diplomatic service represents the image and values of the United States. 

Students will find the program particularly useful for any who wish to pursue careers in diplomacy or global engagement.
