The Challenges of Women Entrepreneurs in Brazil

Across the globe female entrepreneurs face challenges to start and grow businesses because of social barriers and lack of access to financing. These facts spurred the development of the Empowering Women Globally program in 2011. The unique train-the-trainer program strengthens entrepreneurial teaching, student learning while strengthening female-owned businesses, developing self-confidence, and improving economic conditions. In this session we’ll hear from Brazilian student mentors who have guided entrepreneurs on a road to success. The Turner School of Entrepreneurship and Innovation is bringing the program to Bradley and Peoria for the first time. Join us for this exciting session, which includes a product showcase.
