Champaign, IL - The Peoria Area World Affairs Council features a wide range of leaders from both across the community & professionally. Because of this expertise, PAWAC members & former guest speakers often get called upon by local media to give their commentary on current events.
Recently, PAWAC Board member, Dr. Barbara Ribbens, spoke on WILL's The 21st Show to share her expertise on tariffs, rising costs, and what the changing trade relationship means for Illinois in response to the ongoing trade war between the United States & Canada.
The conversation also featured Mark Denzler, President and CEO of the Illinois Manufacturers’ Association, and Stuart Trew, Senior Researcher and Director of the Trade and Investment Research Project at the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives.
