September 1, 2026 - Congratulations to Larry Resutko & Leslie Schenkel on being named PAWAC Volunteers of the Year for 2026!
Larry Resutko - Larry was nominated for his sponsorship of students attending PAWAC programs. Students attending PAWAC programs are often able to attend at little, to no cost, thanks to the generosity of members like Larry. Over the years, Larry has also been a strong advocate and ambassador of PAWAC's role in Education Outreach throughout Central Illinois.
Leslie Schenkel - Leslie is well known to many PAWAC members & those who attend PAWAC programs. For many years Leslie has been an invaluable "behind-the-scenes" PAWAC team member. "Behind-the-scenes" as Leslie has often been one of the first people that greets attendees to programs when she volunteers at the check-in table, checks in teams or keeps stats at the International Scholastic Bowl, but also remains in the background often as programs get underway helping with event logisitics.
Larry & Leslie were honored at this year's Annual Meeting of the Membership on August 30, 2026.
PAWAC Volunteers of the Year are nominated annually by the PAWAC Membership Committee & the PAWAC Board of Directors.
