Barrack's Cater Inn - Over the weekend friends & members of the Peoria Area World Affairs Council came together to compete in the Annual Trivia Night & Fundraiser.
Over eleven tables competed in a battle of the brains over questions ranging from the Winter Olympics, Current Events, to Food & Drink around the world. Winning the day were The Long Shots, who bested That's What Xi Said, 59-57.
In addition to the delicious food & drink provided by Barrack's, another highlight of the day was the Silent Auction & Raffle that featured many fabulous prizes ranging from gift cards to local businesses, signed books, to themed gift baskets. All were a huge success!
PAWAC's Trivia Night is an annual fundraiser devoted to raising money for global education in Central Illinois. In years past this has included helping cover the cost of student admission to PAWAC programs, as well as our International Essay Contest.
A portion of the proceeds will also go towards our championship high school team that will be representing the Peoria Area World Affairs Council & the state of Illinois at the WACA Academic WorldQuest in Washington, D.C. on April 27, 2026. Players from this year's champion - Dixon High School, joined in on the fun, playing at different tables and getting to meet PAWAC members. The students are excited to go out to Washington, D.C. and were grateful for everyone's support.
