Dr. Ribbens is the Director of the Carson & Iris Varner International Business Institute at Illinois State University. In addition to many other study abroad exchanges, she has spearheaded efforts to conduct dual-credit enrollment with the Quality Leadership University in Panama. This partnership has created many oppurtunities for both ISU faculty, ISU students, & Panamanian students alike. Dr. Ribbens was honored in 2025 with the ISU Impact Award recognizing her impact on campus.
