September 1, 2024 - The Peoria Area World Affairs Council is excited to announce the election of the following members to the PAWAC Board of Directors:
Carolyne is a Masters graduate from Uppsala University in Sweden and recently moved back to Central Illinois. John was a long-time teacher at Pekin Community High School and served numerous positions in public service for the City of Pekin including as a city council member & as mayor. Katherine Swise is an attorney for Miller, Hall & Triggs, LLC.
Leslie Murphy will be assuming the role of President of the Board for 2024-25, with Lawrence Tangel being elected to serve as President-Elect. PAWAC congratulates Conrad Stinnett on a successful 2023-24 term as President of the Board!
