3rd Thursday Distinguished Speaker Series

Filipino-Americans and Filipinos: Woven into the Rich Tapestry of the United States
Thursday, October 21 at 6 pm (in person and via Zoom)
Peoria Public Library North Branch (behind Menards)

Filipino-Americans play a significant, but often overlooked, role in the economic, cultural, and educational tapestry of the American experience. They also continue to play a role in the country of their birth. Various members of the Filipino American Society of Central Illinois, including two of the teachers who have joined the teaching team at Peoria District 150, will share their stories and their perspectives as we explore the role of this community. If you wish to attend via Zoom, you can click here to register. Otherwise, see you at the library! Remember, masks must be worn inside. Thank you.
